Terms of Service

By accessing or using Self Independent Publishing Expo ("SIPE", "we", "us", or "our") at sipe.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our services.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will provide notice of material changes via email or through the service.

You must be at least 16 years of age to use SIPE. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

If you are using SIPE on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

You must create an account to use most SIPE features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at support@sipe.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or remain inactive for more than 12 months.

SIPE offers multiple pricing tiers as described on our Pricing page. The Starter ($57) and Ultimate ($397) plans are one-time purchases with lifetime access. The Professional ($197/month) plan is a recurring subscription.

All prices are in US Dollars. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method for the applicable fees.

Professional subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

14-Day Money-Back Guarantee: All plans come with a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied, contact support within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. After 14 days, Starter and Ultimate purchases are non-refundable. Professional plan refunds are prorated for the current month.

You retain full ownership of all content you create using SIPE, including manuscripts, book covers, voice recordings, and any other creative works.

By using our service, you grant SIPE a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving our services. This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account.

You represent that you have all necessary rights to the content you upload and that your content does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights.

You may not use SIPE to create content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, harassing, or that promotes violence or discrimination.

SIPE uses artificial intelligence to assist with writing, voice transcription, cover design, and other features. You acknowledge that:

AI-generated suggestions are provided as-is and may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all AI-assisted content before publishing.

You own the output generated by AI features when used in conjunction with your original input and creative direction.

We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is free from similarities to other published works. You are responsible for ensuring your published content does not infringe on existing copyrights.

When you publish through SIPE, we act as an intermediary between you and third-party publishing platforms (Amazon KDP, Apple Books, Google Play Books, etc.). You must comply with each platform's own terms of service.

We do not guarantee acceptance, placement, or performance on any publishing platform.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all book metadata, pricing, and content submitted for publishing.

Royalties and payments from publishing platforms are subject to each platform's own payment terms and schedules.

Certain plans include a limited number of credits or usage allowances. Credits expire at the end of each billing period for subscription plans and do not roll over.

We reserve the right to modify credit allocations and usage limits with 30 days advance notice.

Exceeding usage limits may result in temporary service restrictions until additional credits are purchased or the next billing cycle begins.

You agree not to use SIPE to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation.

Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.

Generate spam, misleading content, or content designed to manipulate platform algorithms.

Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from our software.

Use automated tools to scrape, mine, or extract data from our service.

Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of our service.

Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or abuse free trial offers.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIPE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for any loss of data, revenue, or profits resulting from service interruptions, third-party platform issues, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SIPE, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the service will cease immediately.

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. We will provide notice unless immediate action is required.

Upon termination, we will retain your data for 30 days to allow for account recovery, after which it will be permanently deleted.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.
